Carousell pilot project by the Entrepreneurship Club
Convert idle household inventory into spare cash
Starting this August and for a pilot period of 1 month, the students of the Entrepreneurship Club will provide a service to all staff to list, market and sell their unused household items onto Carousell.
For this project, the club will only take in items from the following categories;

For this project, the club will only take in items from the following categories;
- Kitchen needs (salt and pepper shakers),
- Clothing (shirts, blazers, ties, branded shoes),
- Bags and pouches (practical brands or luxury items)
- Toys and Games (Action figures or box games, please ensure complete set of items),
- Home decorations (souvenirs, figurines, paintings)
- Electronics (fans, wrist watches, speakers, monitors)
- Miscellaneous (unable to be categorized however, should still be reasonably able to sell e.g. Billiard cues, yoga mats, empty glass bottles).
Lessons Learnt
Through this pilot project, students of the Entrepreneurship Club will achieve authentic learning as well engage in real experience revenue generation.
- Price setting by finding the optimum selling price through market research,
- Marketing through creative descriptor advertising,
- Photography from posting items,
- Countering haggling and cross/upselling inventory,
- Real time interaction with clients (* all exchanges only done in campus or at Simei MRT),
- Time management,
- Character building through Entrepreneurship.
